Description: Over the past 18 months, interest in generative AI (or GenAI) as a tool in education has rapidly increased – while tech companies continue developing their systems to increase the potential uses this technology has in our everyday lives. A recent report by the UK government found that 42% of teachers had used GenAI in their role, so it is crucial that these tools are properly understood, thoroughly considered and constructively planned into lessons to improve outcomes. This course will provide expert insight into what AI is; the potential future global impact; and how to use such software safely and effectively.
