Case Study:
Balfour Primary School
After purchasing our School Membership in October 2019, Balfour Primary School in Brighton have been able to rollout our award-winning video CPD to dedicated staff roles within their workforce.
The results have spoken for themselves.
The school are now excited to push on with ensuring their staff members continue to remain abreast all of the latest changes to statutory guidance and policy.
Expert-led video CPD for the entire school workforce
Balfour Primary School’s reasoning for opting into The National College’s School Membership was simple – to provide CPD that was of high quality and which was relevant.
Dawn Loader, Deputy Headteacher at Balfour Primary School said: “Balfour Primary School is a four-form entry primary school in Brighton, with low levels of disadvantaged and SEND pupils.
“We chose The National College due to good quality and relevant webinar training that was available.
“The senior leadership team have utilised what they need and we have rolled them out to staff during the lockdown period to enable them to keep up to date. We have utilised the webinars and linked them to staff roles and responsibilities within the school.”
Concise and trusted information
Our webinars are delivered by education experts who are specialists in their field which means you receive information which is credible, accurate and timely.
At The National College, we’re aware of the increasing time constraints placed on busy school leaders and teaching staff, which is why we condense all training into an easily digestible video format – something which was perfect for Balfour.
“It’s been extremely useful (undertaking training that has been made in partnership with education experts) - we have to trust that the information available through training is accurate, informed and up to date,” Ms Loader stated.
“The National College is timesaving. It’s also good to know that there is one place you can go to in order to obtain relevant and current materials and guidance.
“It has meant that training has been accessed which would otherwise not have been due to the high cost of staff cover.”
Support through unprecedented times
The Covid-19 pandemic has brought with it fresh challenges for all schools, and Balfour are not exempt from that.
However, they’ve been delighted with the continuous support which they’ve received, both in terms of being able to access a 100% remote learning hub and from our team too.
Ms Loader explained: “Throughout the Covid-19 pandemic, the remote learning platform has been highly useful and easy to access.
“The service we have received from The National College has been excellent – user friendly, relevant and high quality.”
