Astrea Academy Sheffield
Astrea Academy Sheffield achieved their Certified School status in July 2020. They have engaged staff, parents and pupils in improving their online safety capabilities.
Forming part of the Astrea Academy Trust, the academy opened its doors in September 2018 and the all-through school provides an education for pupils in the local area from the age of 2 through to 18.
One of Astrea Academy Sheffield’s founding members, as well Head of PE and STaRs, Sarah Naylor, spoke to us about how National Online Safety have helped in improving the ability to keep their pupils safe online.
Taking a whole school approach to online safety is something which we believe all schools should do in order to ensure they are effectively keeping children safe online.
The support offered by NOS has allowed Astrea to implement a whole school strategy.
Sarah said: “Very well-planned package to support us as a new school whilst developing online safety and our provision.
“The resources are of a high quality and cover all aspects of our provision.”

This is something Miss Naylor says has been invaluable, with the feedback being overwhelmingly positive.
